Details
Nandroya Falls, in the Wooroonooran National Park, is a great place to swim with a large waterfall and plunge pool. You can swim across and stand up right next to the falls on the sandy bottom. The amount of water splashing down creates a huge draft of wind making it feel like you are in the middle of a storm.
The walk to Nandroya Falls is 2.2km one way from the Henrietta Creek camping area through shaded rain forest. The path is smooth and very well designed, it has been cut into the side of a steep hill and the total descent is around 60m. Along the main path you will also see Silver Creek Falls which also has a small plunge pool. Be careful of the Stinging Tree which was growing right next to the Silver Creek Falls crossing.
