Butterfly Gorge is named after the many common crow butterflies which inhabit the area. To get to the main pool take the River Walk for 1km There is a large swimming hole with a big sandy beach area. If you swim across the main pool and make your way upstream you will come across the top pools situated in a beautiful and peaceful gorge. The gorge is only accessible via 4WD and is only open during the dry season (May – September).
