Five Mile Creek Swimming Hole is located 8km south of Cardwell just off the Bruce Highway. It is in the Cardwell State Forest and is a brilliant place to swim and snorkel. You can jump off the little cliff into the waterhole. It is safe from crocodiles here as it is far enough up a rocky creek and crocs can’t climb over rocks. There is a picnic area and toilets.

Directions
From Cardwell.
*Head south along the Bruce Highway for 7km.
*Turn right onto a dirt road and follow it for 700m.
*Park and walk down to the swimming hole.
