Details
The Three Steps Waterfall, also known as Three Sisters Waterfall, is a unique natural attraction located near Mount Isa in Queensland. Situated on a large rock formation, it features a series of waterfalls and swimming holes. As a seasonal waterfall, it only flows after significant rainfall, but when it does, it’s a beautiful sight. The name “Three Steps” comes from the tiers of the rock, which form three separate water catchments, creating a series of swimming holes perfect for a refreshing dip.
The spot is at its best after heavy rainfall, when the waterfall cascades heavily over the rock and fills the rock pools, making them perfect for a swim. Depending on the season and the rainfall, the water might not be flowing, and the swimming holes might be a little dirty. But in any case, the site offers a great opportunity to connect with nature, and take in the scenic views of the surrounding landscape.
