Forgon Smith Spur

The Forgon Smith Spur trail head is unmarked and starts at the end of Tobias Close in Clifton Beach. The first part of the hike follows a Cairns Water Access Road past the Tobias Close Reservoir. Keep following the trail as it leads into the Kuranda National Park and climbs its way to the top of the Macalister Range. This is a very steep trail with an unmade path, and there are very minimal views on your way up. It is a definately walking track for the adventurous. The trail ends where it meets a forest track in a pine forest and you will need to turn around and head back down the way you came.
