Forest Park Day Use Area is picnic area with a great swimming hole on the Nerang River in Springbrook National Park. It features a large deep swimming hole with a gravel bottom, and a swift flowing river, depending on rainfall. The facilities include toilets, running water, a shelter and wood fired BBQ’s. Forest Park Day Use Area is located about 13km from Natural Bridge, making it a great place to stop for a swim, either before, or after visiting Natural Bridge.
Update: According to a recent comment the facilities have been removed from this wonderful swimming location.

From Natural Bridge….
*Head along Nerang Murwillumbah Road north for 9km.
*You will see the entrance to Forest Park on the left hand side.
*Follow the path to the river and waterhole.
Form Nerang…
*Head along Nerang Murwillumbah Road past the Advancetown Lake.
*Forest Park is located about 1km past Pocket Road on the right hand side.
*Park here and follow the path to the river and waterhole.

This is a really easy to access swimming hole, and it’s just down the road from the Natural Bridge waterfall.
Great spot to cool down, relax and enjoy a picnic? Until they removed the public toilets, picnic tables and covered seating area. Very disappointing to find everything removed from last visit
