Mermaids Pool

Mermaids Pool is a swimming hole near the town of Tahmoor in NSW. To get to the pool you must hike downstream along an unmade trail. Access to Mermaids Pool is quite tricky, you will need to climb in and out near the waterfall using the rope. The other option is to jump in, but please check the water depth before jumping, and make sure you are confident enough to climb back out again.

How to get to Mermaids Pool near Tahmoor

*Park in the carpark at the intersection of Rockford Road & Charlies Point Road near Tahmoor.
*Follow the path down to the Rockford Road Bridge.
*Underneath the bridge you will find a track leading downstream to Mermaids Pool.
*It’s about a 45min hike each way depending on your fitness level.
