Stoney Creek is a great place to swim all year road if you are in the Cairns area. The creek flows through thick shaded rainforest and there are a series of pools to swim in. If you follow the Weir Track all the way to the top, you will find Old Weir Falls and a large swimming hole.

Head to the suburb of Kamerunga, north east of Cairns.
*Follow Stoney Creek Road west and park at the end of the road.
*Take the Weir Track and choose your desired swimming hole!
