Details
Simpsons Gap is a scenic gorge near Alice Springs with a large waterhole in the West MacDonnell National Park. The water has cut its way through the mountain range over a very long time leaving a canyon with sheers rocky cliffs on either site. The swimming hole is in the shade for most of the day and it is a nice place to cool off in summer. Simpsons Gap is a very popular tourist location and bus loads of people arrive here throughout the day.

*Head west out of town along Larapinta Drive 900m
*At roundabout take exit 2 onto Larapinta Drive 30m
*At roundabout continue straight onto Larapinta Drive 15km
*Turn right onto Darken Drive 7km
