Details
Giles Baths can be found at the base of the northern headland of Coogee Beach. This natural rock pool, often referred to as the “Bogey Hole,” was historically frequented by male bathers in the 19th century and remains a beloved spot for swimming today. It attracts many young visitors and offers an adventurous experience for those exploring the area around Coogee Beach. Access is available via the Coastal Walkway in Dunningham Reserve, close to the Bali Memorial, or by traversing the rocky foreshore to the north of Coogee Beach. The original entry portico from the historic “Giles Gym and Baths” still stands, adding to the site’s charm.
