Wattle Flat Camping Area is a peaceful location with a swimming hole in The Styx River State Forest. Access to the campground is can from the Armidale-Kempsey Road. To get to the campground, turn north onto Styx River Forest Way, and follow the signs.
Caravans and camper vans are welcome, but access is for four wheel drive vehicles only. There are toilets and wood fired BBQ’s, but no power is available. In NSW, all State forests are free to camp in, and they are also dog friendly.
